Budgets in Europe: Greece

February 24, 2017

As part of our budgets in Europe series, we’re focusing on different destinations to see how they compare against each other on a budget level.

This week we look at our new summer 2017 destination – Greece. Renowned for its ancient landmarks, stunning islands, and beautiful beaches, it’s fair to say Greece has had it tough over the last few years but it’s still a safe and beautiful place to visit.

Some important info for foreign travelers to Greece regarding bank withdrawals while in Greece:

All visitors to Greece and anyone with a credit/debit card issued in a foreign country will not be affected by the measures to limit bank withdrawals. The measures announced recently, do not apply to those wishing to make transactions and withdrawals with a credit/debit card issued in their home country.
