On Monday, tennis’ first grand slam tournament of the calendar year got underway with the Australian Open in Melbourne. While much is being talked about in the tennis world with accusations of match fixing, shocks are also being seen in the play itself. Despite 14 Grand Slams to his name, Rafael Nadal crashed out of the first round of the tournament at the hands of number 47 rank Fernando Verdasco. However, if you’re a fan of Nadal, then why not see him on his best surface at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters 2016?
Having won 9 of his 14 Grand Slams on the clay courts of the French Open, a similar-playing surface is seen at the Monte Carlo Masters tournament. We have ticket packages available for the semi-finals and final of the event in April so you can be there and see some of the sport’s top names! Held in the beautiful province of Monaco, this is a tournament that all tennis fans can enjoy while also exploring a new city. While last year, Novak Djokovic came out on top, Nadal won the tournament eight times in a row from 2005-2012 so you can be sure it’s one he’s keen to steal back. While players are yet to be confirmed for the tournament, last year stars Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Ferrer and Tsonga were among the big names.
Monte Carlo is known for being a holiday and home of many of the world’s richest people. This might be in part because of the lack of taxes. Taxing on the population was actually able to be removed whenever the casinos began to make enough money to cover this for the residents! Popular with tourists, the area hosts its Formula One Grand Prix, Monte Carlo Rally and the European Poker Tour Grand Final.
Our sport event ticket package to see the final of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters 2016 includes 2 nights in 3* Ambassador Hotel with breakfast, and CAT1 tickets in section J1/J2 for the final on 17th April 2016. Prices start from €675EUR per person. Other ticket packages are available for the semi-finals, or for both semi-final and final days with 3 night accommodation.
