Moto GP sport weekends

June 27, 2016

Moto GP is one of the most exciting sports in the world – the speed and danger ensure that you never know exactly what’s going to happen on race day! ActivityBreaks.com are excited to announce that we now have our Moto GP ticket packages available online for some of the forthcoming races in the 2016 season! British fans of the races might have experienced Silverstone before, but why not give yourself a great reason to travel and check it out in a nicer climate around Europe?

With just seven races completed in the 2016 season, there’s no need to count any of the top riders out just yet. Points are currently tight at the top of the table between young leader Marc Marquez, last year’s winner Jorge Lorenzo, and stalwart of the sport, Valentino Rossi. Whoever your favourite is, they each have their own strengths so you probably want to go see a race where they’re likely to come out on top.

Germany’s Sachsenring has a number of tight corners, making it one of the slower races on the calendar. However, with an average of 200,000 spectators each year, there’s still plenty of excitement about the race. Last season saw Marc Marquez take the lead from the fifth lap and remain there for the remainder of the race after a flawless performance.

The following week, the Moto GP season returns to the Red Bull Ring in Austria after almost 20 years. While the settings are typically alpine with hills and forests around the circuit, there’s nothing calm about this fast track! Moving onto the Czech Republic, Brno’s circuit is better suited to riders who enjoy the technical side of the Moto GP racing with its quick turns. For spectators Brno is great because banks around the circuit offer a great viewing platform for the racing.

September might be a dodgy time weather-wise for any outdoor activity in the UK, but Silverstone always entertains spectators when the Moto GP comes to town. British racers seem to delight in the wet track, while the final corner always seems to throw up an epic battle between some of the top names in the sport. Moving onto San Marino’s Misano track, the small country in Europe might not be on your bucket list of places to travel to, but with Moto GP packages, you might just want to re-consider! Last year’s Moto GP race at Misano has been talked about as one of the most dramatic in the sport after conditions rapidly declined after the start of the race. From riders almost crashing into each other in the pit, to Jorge Lorenzo eventually crashing out with only seven laps remaining!

Alternatively, if you want to see who takes the race on the last day, then our Moto GP ticket and accommodation package in Valencia is right up your street! Last year’s final race saw a hot battle between the top three riders for the podium and this year may be no different given the same names are in contention again.

Our Moto GP packages are available online now from just €355per person. All of our Moto GP weekends include accommodation, track transfers, airport transfers and 3-day race tickets so you won’t miss any of the action!
