One moment …

One month until kick-off for the RBS Six Nations 2016!

January 6, 2016

Irish Rugby fans might have been disappointed today to have their fears on Tommy Bowe and Iain Henderson confirmed. The pair will definitely not feature in the upcoming tournament so Ireland’s title defence will rely on some fresh faces to replace the two Ulster players. The other major question still to be answered for Irish rugby fans is that of the captaincy following the international retirement of Paul O’Connell. This announcement will be eagerly anticipated, especially after todays from France where their coach named Guilhem Guirado as their next captain. Wales will be the first to come up against the renewed Ireland, and they will also see some new names among the starting line-up with Leigh Halfpenny’s knee injury meaning he is not set to return to playing in time for the tournament.

After a disappointing Rugby World Cup, England rugby fans will be keen to see their team overcome their old rivals Scotland on the first day and send out a message to the other teams. However this won’t come easy as the Australia Rugby World Cup incident will still be fresh in the memory of the Scotland team.
