Still looking to get your ski fix? Check out our early spring Alpine ski breaks!

February 4, 2016

Although many skiers will have already travelled off over the Christmas break or early 2016, if you’re still looking for an Alpine ski break that you can enjoy in early 2016, then we’ve pulled together a list of some of our short ski holidays that could be right up your street (or slope!).

Today we received news of a fresh 10cm of snow now lying in Madonna di Campiglio’s slopes, meaning that over 140km of slopes are open and ready to be conquered! The good news doesn’t stop there though as another heavier snowfall is expected this weekend too. So although Europe might have given us a few scares this season with the weather, these fears can be calmed with this news today.

To get amongst the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio this winter/early spring, we recommend our spring Italian ski holiday special. This package includes 4 nights accommodation in 4* Hotel Miramonti with breakfasts, 3 day ski pass, 3 day ski equipment rental and 1 dinner at the hotel. As well as this you can enjoy use of the hotel’s gym and sauna after energetic days on the slopes. Prices start from €471EURper person. This Alpine ski break is available right up until 8th April 2016 so there’s plenty of time for you to book off work and take in a ski holiday to help motivate you through the rest of the darker nights!

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to go to France, Valmorel has seen regular snow throughout the ski season and this is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon! This resort is especially suited to family ski breaks with mostly blue runs. However, there are also green beginner runs and a number of more challenging red runs, so a mixed-abilities group can also travel here and all enjoy themselves. If this is somewhere you’d be interested in, then why not take a look at our short ski break package staying at 3* Hotel du Bourg. This includes 3 nights on half board basis with 2.5 day ski pass and return transfers from a number of the nearby airports. Prices start from €500EURper person and availability runs up until 15th April 2016.

For family ski breaks, a top recommendation for us is always Slovenia where prices are a little cheaper and slopes are a bit quieter, but we guarantee you’ll still have an awesome time! Again, ski conditions here are fantastic at the minute (we’ve been having a sneaky look at the webcams and suffering serious envy of the skiers!) and we have a longer break available here staying at the wonderful Chalet Reka Hisa. This 5-night family ski break includes 3* accommodation in quad room on a half board basis with 4 day ski pass, 4 day ski hire, return ski shuttles & return Ljubljana/Klagenfurt Airport transfers. Prices for 4 adults travelling starts from €376EURper person and final bookings can be taken for the 23rd April 2016.

Read all this but not a big fan of skiing? Never fear! You don’t have to miss out on all the action on the slopes with our new snowshoeing break! With 4 nights in 4* Hotel Miramonti with breakfasts, 1 guided snowshoe excursion and equipment rental, 1 massage and free use of the sauna and gym, this winter activity break allows you to experience the atmosphere of the Alps without the danger of skiing! And for the rest of your stay you can soak up the apres-ski culture and relax at the hotel’s sauna with your included massage! You can enjoy this right up until the 6th April 2016, and prices start from €330EURper person.
