The Alpe Adria Trail connects the Carinthia region of Austria with Slovenia and Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The trail contains 43 different stages allowing walkers to really experience the natural landscape of these beautiful spots. From the highest mountain in Austria at the Grossglockner, this trail follows through Slovenia and Italy until reaching its final spot of Muggia/Trieste. Day 1: Cividale del Friuli
Individual arrival in Cividale del Frili by own means. Check-in to hotel. Free time to visit the UNESCO heritage town and capital of Longobards. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Cividale - Breg - Cormons
AAT stage 29 walking in the magical hills of the Italian and Slovenian Collio, worldwide famous vineyard region, one of the places to visit included in the 2016 Lonely Planet guide. 12.9km in around 4.5hrs. Altitude difference: 301m incline, 281m decline. Free lunch in Breg and visit of winery and wine tasting. Private transfer to Cormons. Your luggage is taken to your hotel for you. Check-in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Cormons - Gradisca D'Isonzo
AAT stage 32, continuing the walk in the Collio to reach Gradisca, where the Official Regional Wine Shop is located. 17.3km in around 5hrs. Altitude difference: 145m incline, 159m decline. Your luggage is taken to your hotel for you. Check-in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gradisca D'Isonzo - Jamiano
AAT part of stage 33 along Doberdo lake to Jamiano village. 18km in around 4hrs. Your luggage is taken to your hotel for you. Check-in to hotel. Free dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Jamiano - Duino
AAT remaining part of stage 33 to reach the Adriatic sea and Duino village, famous for its castle and cliffs. Private transfer to the starting point. End of trail.
