Itinerary

The 4 hour tour starts at Torvehallerne, the new covered market halls, where you will sample artisan cheese, developed in collaboration with the city's Michelin-starred chefs. Try liquorice, caramels and preserves from some of the most interesting local producers. You will explore the city, wandering through Copenhagen Botanical Gardens and relaxing in the beautiful surroundings, while talking about produce and local food. During the tour, you will also pass several of the city's most famous landmarks and learn about its history.

Perched on the islands of Zealand and Amager on the west coast of Denmark, Copenhagen is an increasingly popular destination for foodies, at the last count it was home to 15 Michelin starred restaurants. The restaurant scene has exploded here over the past 10-15 years, with many new eateries offering locally sourced, quality fresh produce and innovative twists on Danish cuisine.

The Torvehallerne food market is a real feast for the senses, especially the tastebuds! Your guide will take you to some of the best stalls to try some of that day's offerings, before taking you on a food themed tour of the city.

After your food tour you can enjoy a stroll around the wonderful Tivoli gardens, take a ride on one of the historic fairground attractions, and maybe take in an open air concert or show.

Other attractions include the statue of the little mermaid, the Carlsberg brewery tour, and the many museums on offer here, though many people just like to explore the city on foot through areas like alternative Christiana, hipster Vesterbro and relaxed Nyhavn, and maybe stop off at one of the many bars, cafes and restaurants that the city has become famous for.
