How to arrive at the hotel: The Hotel Cerna Bouda is located at the top of the mountain and cannot be reached by car. Weather permitting the cable car operates daily from 08.30 to 16.00 and at 17.30 there is one last ride. Your luggage can be picked up free of charge, please call reception when you arrive.

Janske Lazne

Janske Lazne(640m) is a spa town in the North of the Czech Republic, at the foot of the Cerna Hora mountain close to the border with Poland. With only 15km of marked runs (5 blue and 4 red) it nonetheless offers some of the longest slopes in the Czech Republic from 1275m down to 640m. It is a friendly ski area and a little less touristy that the other resorts in the Giant Mountains although this could change as there has been continued investment in the area in the last few years, including a new 6 seater high speed chairlift. It is ideal for beginners and lower intermediates who are not looking for a huge ski area but rather some pretty, tree lined slopes.

For those who want to try some more pistes the ski pass for the area also covers Pec Pod Snezkou (13km of marked runs) which can be reached by ski bus, as well as some other smaller local resorts.

The 1.6km Protez piste offers night skiing from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, and there is a 3.5km sledge run on the mountain.

Après ski

This resort is not known for its nightlife, although with the hotel at the top of the mountain most people who choose this break are looking for peace and quiet in the evenings.

There are some spa services available in the resort thanks to the thermal springs around the area, as well as an indoor swimming pool complex.

Located at the top of Mount Cerna Hora this ski in-ski out hotel is a great place to stay for those who are looking for budget ski accommodation surrounded by peace, tranquility and beautiful mountain scenery. There is a ski lift located next to the hotel.

The functional yet comfortable rooms are equipped with en-suite facilities with shower and WC, as well as satellite TV and direct-dial telephone.

Other facilities include restaurant, cocktail lounge, children's corner, ski rental service, free luggage pick-up by snow scooter from the upper cable car station, snow scooter taxi from Janske Lazne to Hotel, disco, exchange office, safe at reception and souvenir shop. There is also a fast food self-service and outdoor snow bar. Wireless internet is available in all public areas and is free of charge.

The restaurant serves a rich breakfast as well as Czech and International cuisine.

From Prague take Motorway E65 towards Mladá Boleslav, then follow highway No. 16 towards Jičín, Nová Paka, Hostinné, Svoboda n/Úpou, Janské Lázně.

There are buses from Prague to Janske Lazne which take around 4 hours with stop.
There are trains from Prague to Trutnov (15km from Janske Lazne), from there it is possible to get a bus the rest of the way.
