Umbria is the only region in Italy with no coastline or international border. Instead it offers beautiful rolling hills, ancient hilltop towns and excellent cuisine and wines; all in all much like Tuscany but without the crowds.

The region's capital is Perugia, which like most Italian cities boasts a beautiful historic centre, as well as a lively cultural scene and nightlife thanks to the big university there. There is a packed calendar of music, art and food festivals throughout the year.

Lake Trasimeno is a popular destination with Italians trying to escape the heat of the nearby cities, ringed by medieval fortress towns, olive groves and vineyards. It is close to the border of Tuscany if you are planning to continue your travels in central Italy after this short walking holiday.

You will stay 2 nights at a 3* hotel in Perugia city centre, 1 night at an agriturismo in Colpiccione and one night at a 3* hotel in Passignano.

Accommodation will be confirmed at time of booking based on availability, further information will be provided after booking.
