Family weekend breaks – how to choose the perfect activity package

March 16, 2016

Getting to spend time as a family is so precious… until the kids start to drive you insane. Which is why activity breaks are so good; they keep the kids entertained and tire them out so you can enjoy your much needed and deserved relaxing evening. You get to enjoy the time with the kids and take part in the activities, making memories that will last a lifetime. Choosing the right family activity holidays for you and your family is a pretty easy process.

The main thing is that you choose an activity which can be enjoyed by all members of the family. Be age appropriate, don’t take a 6 year old canyoning or white water rafting and don’t take a 16 year old on a kayaking holiday where the kids in the group are going to be under 10. They’ll get bored. Consult our sales team to see what levels are already booked on or what age appropriate is. We have loads of different breaks with many different activities so we can guarantee to find something to suit everyone!

Choose your location, if you’re taking younger kids then a long flight time/transfer time might not be the best thing in the world. We offer plenty of breaks across all of Europe, so there’s always something handy for everyone. We have loads on offer in Slovenia, which is only 2 hours 15 minutes from London with a transfer time of 30minutes upon arrival. That’s not even enough time for your kids to get bored!

Here at ActivityBreaks, we offer family activity holidays in several European countries and many at home too! If you are short on time, then why not try a break in the United Kingdom - we have a few great packages in London! If your children (or you!) are Harry Potter mad, then check out our London 3* City Break with Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter and bus tour package! It's a fantastic price for a weekend break in the centre of London!

Whatever your families tastes, you can rely on to give you great reasons to travel!
