Itinerary

Day 1: Individual arrival in Copenhagen
The Danish capital has plenty to see and do, so we recommend arriving early. Take a stroll through the historic city centre or visit the famous Tivoli gardens with their amusement park. Briefing and bike-fitting in the evening.

Day 2: Copenhagen - Køge (approx. 55 km)
Ride along the Køge Bay, hugging the Baltic Sea coastline. Enjoy the scenery of the car-free Amager Fælled National Park, and maybe make a stop at the Arken Museum of Modern Art. Located on the coast, Køge is one of the oldest towns in Denmark. Take a stroll along the white sandy beach or an invigorating dip in the sea.

Day 3: Køge - Næstved (approx. 60 km)
Say goodbye to the coast as you head inland through southern Zealand and its lush green meadows and forests. The medieval town of Næstved with its old town houses is fun to explore, or you could visit the Rococo Gavnø castle.

Day 4: Næstved - Korsør (approx. 65 km)
Continue west towards the Great Belt. You will soon reach the small coastal town of Karrebæksmind. The small sandy beach near Enø is the perfect spot for sunbathing. From now on, you will follow the coast, and via the harbour town Skælskør you will reach today’s goal, Korsør. The cosy harbour town has a lively and diverse cultural scene.

Day 5: Korsør - Sorø/surrounding (approx. 50 km)
Head back inland through the countryside. Highlights along the route include the ring fort at Trelleborg built around 900 BC, it offers a modern museum where you can learn about life and culture during the Viking age. Once in Sorø, it is worth visiting the 12th century monastery, based on the Cistercian abbey of Fontenay.

Day 6: Sorø/surrounding - Roskilde (approx. 65 km)
Cycle through green fields and beautiful little villages. Pass the Ise Fjord and Roskilde bay, before reaching Roskilde itself with its imposing cathedral a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The Viking ship museum is also worth a visit.

Day 7: Roskilde - Copenhagen (approx. 35 km)
A short ride back to Copenhagen today. From Albertslund a recently built bike path will bring you into the city centre with almost no traffic. In the afternoon, you will still have enough time to discover the city at your own pace.

Day 8: Individual Departure or Extension
Breakfast and check-out. We would be happy to help you book an extended stay if you would like to take more time to explore the Danish capital.
