Day 2: Walking in Risnjak National Park
Covering around 63km2 of pristine mountainous terrain, Risnjak National Park is named after one of its inhabitants, the Lynx. Start from Vilje and hike to Big Risnjak, the highest point in the mountain range. Stop for lunch (not included) at Schlosser's mountain hut, one of the best in Croatia, before heading back down to Vilje.
Accommodation: Zvecaj hotel; Walking: 3-4 h, easy/moderate, well marked paths; Drive: 1.5h-2h each way.

Day 3: Walking in North Velebit National Park
North Velebit National Park is the 'youngest' in the country, and offers a beautiful karst landscape and rich biodiversity. The trail takes you through some of the most interesting parts of the park, and you can enjoy fantastic views over the Adriatic sea.
Accommodation: Private guesthouses in Korana Village; Walking: 4 – 5 h, easy/moderate, well marked paths; Drive: 2.5 h each way.

Day 4: Walking in Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice Lakes National Park is perhaps the most famous destination on this trip; its exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue travertine lakes, 90 waterfalls and numerous caves have made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a walk through fairytale scenery before taking a panoramic boat and train ride back to the park entrance. Later in the afternoon return to your accommodation just in time to enjoy a quick swim before dinner.
Accommodation: Private guesthouses in Korana Village; Drive: 15 min each way; Walking: 4-5 h, easy, well marked paths.

Day 5: Optional trip day
On the fifth day of your holiday you can be as active or as lazy as you like. There are several walking, sightseeing or beach trips on offer (not included in the price, between € 40 and € 70 pp), ask your guide for details.
Accommodation: Private guesthouses in Korana Village; Drive: max 2 hours each way.

Day 6: Paklenica National Park Walking
After saying goodbye to your village hosts continue south to Paklenica National Park, part of a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and a popular hiking and climbing destination. Hiking is the best way to really get to know the area; the most popular trail is the one leading to Borisov Dom, a mountain hut popular with mountaineers.
Accommodation: 3* Skradinski Buk Hotel in Skradin; Walking: 4-5 h, moderate, well marked paths; Drive: 2h, 1h.

Day 7: Krka River National Park Walking
The last day of the trip takes you to Krka River National Park with its impressive karst formations and travertine waterfalls. Explore the many waterways and the Skradinski Buk waterfall before taking a boat to Visovac island and its Franciscan monastery. Afterwards return to the hotel and enjoy early evening in the old town before the final evening dinner and a celebration of an amazing adventure.

Day 8: Departure
Depart from Skradin to the airport and flight home. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit - especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.
