Itinerary

Rafting extra:
An exhilarating rafting experience on the River Noce.

Canyoning at San Biagio:
Ideal for beginners this excursion is suitable for all. Abseil, rappel and jump into pools as you make your way through the canyon, the highest drop is a 20m waterfall. If you have prior experience and would prefer a more challenging excursion then just let us know before you book, a supplement will apply.

Canoeing:
A wonderfully scenic 3 hour excursion through the impressive canyons of the Rio Novella, 3.5km in total on a sit on top canoe with a qualified instructor. Suitable for all abilities and ages, no experience required.

Via Ferrata to Barba di Fior:
A cross between hiking and mountaineering. Head up into the high mountains complete with harness and helmet along the via ferrata (or 'iron way' in English), a system of ladders and ascents that afford spectacular views over the mountains - a head for heights is necessary.

Mountain biking:
Medium difficulty trail, some prior experience recommended.

N.B. Most activities will start from the activity centre in Dimaro, 30 mins drive from Madonna di Campiglio. The canoeing start and end point is one hour's drive from the hotel.

PLEASE MAKE SURE SURE YOU HAVE ADEQUATE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER THESE ACTIVITIES.

Each activity lasts between 3 and 4 hours. In the unlikely event that one of the programmed activities does not run it will be substituted with a similar activity. All activities are run by qualified and experienced professional guides who will provide full safety information and instructions.

What to bring:
• T-shirt to wear under wetsuit, swimming costume, trainers that can get wet for rafting (not flip flops!), hiking boots (that can get wet) for canyoning and via ferrata.
• A towel or bathrobe, slippers and a shampoo if you want to have a hot shower at the rafting centre after each activity.
• For the via ferrata - warm lightweight clothing, waterproof jacket, gloves and hat, sunglasses, a light rucksack, a refillable water bottle, small first aid kit and torch.

Please Note

• Group size: min 4, max 16 people. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough participants to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered a full refund. In case the minimum number is not met but those who have already confirmed still want to take part, the price increases by a percentage depending on the final number of participants. • There is no tour leader for this package, however full assistance will be available at all times through the hotel and our emergency number.

Restrictions

All participants must know how to swim and have a head for heights.

Extras/Upgrades

If you pay for a twin room place but we can't match you with somebody then you will be given a single room at no extra charge. If you would prefer your own room there is a small supplement to pay. To book just click on the arrival date on the calendar and under the 'room type' drop down select your preferred accommodation type.

The Dolomites are the ideal place for an adventure holiday, from the awe inspiring canyons to their distinctive peaks there is so much to do here to keep the average outdoor adventurer busy for days if not weeks!

Madonna di Campiglio sits at 1,522m above sea level in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park in the Trentino region of Northern Italy. Famous as a chic ski resort where you can enjoy perfectly groomed slopes and Michelin starred restaurants, it is also a fantastic summer destination thanks to its beautiful scenery, and many outdoor/sports facilities and attractions. The nearby river Noce is perfect for both white water rafting and kayaking, while the towering canyons it has carved into the mountainside provide excellent canyoning and tarzaning opportunities. The mountainside provides numerous hiking trails, a selection of mountain huts and an extensive Via Ferrata network - the largest in the Dolomites. The 150 km of marked ski runs known as the Dolomiti di Brenta Ski Area becomes a Bike Area in the summer, and the efficient lift system ensures that mountain bikers can explore the many trails easily. Other activities on offer include golf, tennis, fishing, climbing, and paragliding.

The resort itself is reasonably compact, with a pretty piazza, a few upmarket shops, bars and restaurants and a small lake. During your stay you can enjoy the local Trentino wines and produce, including cheese, game and wild mushrooms. Of course as this is Italy you can also expect to find some good wood-fired pizza too!

This break is ideal for groups, from stag and hen breaks to company incentive/team building trips and we can tailor make an itinerary to suit your needs.
