Peisey-Vallandry (1,650m) is a collection of small villages at the western end of the Les Arcs ski area, close to the Vanoise Express cable car that connects Les Arcs with neighbouring La Plagne to create the vast Paradiski area, the third largest in the world with a total of 425 km of marked runs.

The sunny, tree-lined slopes of Peisey-Vallandry are a contrast to the open, exposed runs above the tree line that Les Arcs is famous for. The Les Arcs/Peisey Vallandry ski pass covers 200km of slopes from 810 to 3,226m, with 106 runs and 54 lifts; the Paradiski pass is available with a small supplement.

With so many slopes there is something for everyone, as well as a number of terrain parks dotted around and lots of off-piste opportunities. The longest run, known as the Aiguille Rouge (red needle), is a 7km red run from the peak at 3,226m down to the village of Villaroger, if you try it make sure you leave plenty of time to get the last lifts back as it is on the other side of Les Arcs!

Après-ski

The village of Vallandry offers the usual supermarkets, bars and restaurants, though is fairly quiet in terms of nightlife.
