Dress: There is no dress code for this event. As it is an outdoor venue, take a light jacket or cardigan with you and remember to apply insect repellent if you are susceptible to mosquito bites. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes as you will have to walk along an unpaved path to the venue. Transfers: Transfer time to the venue is approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. You will be picked up from your hotel or nearby, details can be found on the voucher sent pre-travel. The pick-up/drop-off point is around 800m from the theatre, along an unpaved road. Cat 1 VIP ticket holders use the executive car park/entrance 300m from the theatre. Venue: The event organisers have a laid-back attitude and the official concert start time of 8.30pm may vary. Our transfer services will ensure you are there in good time, but there is a possibility you may have to queue before getting to your seat. Please note that you cannot bring food and drink into the venue, there are refreshment kiosks inside where you can buy drinks and snacks. Booking Conditions: • This package is NON REFUNDABLE . Please make sure that you have adequate travel insurance that also covers concert tickets. • In case of bad weather, the show will be recovered the day after and no refund can be requested. Tickets will be valid for the new date and will not be refunded under any circumstances. • Should the performance be permanently interrupted after 40 minutes or more from the start of the show, no refunds will be given. Chiostro delle Monache Located a 10-15 minute walk from the historic centre of Volterra, this Medieval ex-convent has been completely rennovated and is now a serene bed & breakfast offering private rooms and some larger dormitory rooms. The simply furnished private rooms are cool and spacious with tiled floors, air conditioning, free WiFi access, TV and private bathroom with shower. The breakfast room, located in the old refectory, has a magnificent fresco of the last supper that covers the end wall. Free parking is available on site.

Location

Volterra is beautiful walled hilltop town in central Tuscany. Less well known than other nearby medieval towns like San Gimignano, there are fewer tourists, giving it a more relaxed feel. The town offers spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, and it is just an hour’s drive from Siena, and around 90 mins or less from Pisa, Florence and Lucca. If you fancy a trip to the beach, the coast is just under an hour away by car. That said there is a lot to see and do in Volterra itself, especially for art and history buffs; the town is a haven of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture. Points of interest include the Piazza dei Priori, Roman theatre, Medici fortress and the Etruscan museum. Teatro del Silenzio The Teatro del Silenzio is an amphitheatre on the outskirts of Lajatico (20 km from Volterra), the hometown of Andrea Bocelli. Bocelli played a big role in the construction of the venue, which opened in 2006 and hosts his annual homecoming concert every year around the end of July. The event is a special one as it is the tenor himself who decides on the theme, which changes year to year. Some years a full opera is performed, while others a more traditional concert is held, where Bocelli sings a selection of his own songs and favourite arias, often accompanied by famous special guests.

Nearest Airport: Pisa Airport (approx. 1hr 15 mins) Other airports: Florence Airport (approx. 1hr 30 mins) By Car From Pisa take the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno to Via di Gello/SP23 in Pontedera. Follow signs to Ponsacco, Lajatico then Volterra. By Public Transport Take the train from Pisa Centrale to Pontedera (15 mins, every 30 mins), from there take a bus to Volterra (approx 70 mins, hourly). What exactly is included in the 2027 Andrea Bocelli packages?

Each package includes three nights in the named hotel, breakfast, a concert ticket in the category selected at booking, return concert transfers and phone assistance during the trip. Flights, airport transfers, most meals and drinks, local tourist taxes and services not listed under Included are excluded.

What happens if the concert is postponed because of bad weather?

If a performance is postponed because of bad weather, it will be rescheduled for the recovery day stated in the conditions for your booked concert date, normally the following day. Your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled performance. If you cannot attend the rescheduled show, you are not entitled to a ticket refund. If a performance is permanently interrupted after at least 40 minutes, no ticket refund is due under the organiser’s conditions.

Are return transfers to Teatro del Silenzio included?

Yes. Return concert transfers are included. You will be collected from your hotel or a nearby meeting point; the exact place and time will be shown on your travel voucher. Airport transfers are not included unless separately arranged.

How much walking is required to reach Teatro del Silenzio?

The venue is in a rural area with uneven, hilly and sometimes unpaved routes. Standard ticket categories normally require a walk of about 15–20 minutes from the general drop-off area. Executive and Gold VIP guests use a closer area, but the route may still include steps. Wear comfortable shoes.

What should guests with reduced mobility or disabilities do before booking?

Contact ActivityBreaks before booking. Guests with reduced mobility or disabilities may attend only from the area reserved for them and must purchase the specific ticket for that area. Capacity is limited and requests cannot be fulfilled after the reserved allocation has sold out. A standard ticket for another sector does not provide access to the reserved area.

Thank you for organising our accommodation, transfers and tickets for Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio this week. It all went like clockwork! Emiliano was a great driver: kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Volterra and the Bocellis, we really enjoyed his company. The hotel was clean, welcoming and well placed, although a bit far to walk into town for an elderly lady – we found the local bus feasible with some planning. We were glad of our comfortable shoes and our scarves to cushion the chairs at the concert.
