Dolomites Watersports Mini Adventure Break

No previous experience is required for most of our watersports holidays, our instructors and guides work with complete beginners as well as more experienced paddlers or sailors. Activities like Dolomites rafting or Croatia sailing and kayaking are tailored to the group's ability, with the necessary safety briefing given before you set off.

All essential equipment, wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, paddles, boats or boards, is provided as part of your package. You'll just need appropriate clothing underneath and a swimsuit. If you have specific gear preferences or your own equipment you'd like to bring, let us know and we'll confirm what's needed locally.

Safety is central to every watersports holiday we offer, with qualified local guides or instructors, safety equipment provided throughout, and briefings given before each activity. Group sizes and routes are adjusted to conditions and ability on the day. If you have any health considerations, just flag them with us in advance.

Conditions vary by activity and destination, with warmer months generally suiting sailing and kayaking in Croatia, while San Sebastian's surf can offer good waves across a broader season. Many watersports activities can be adapted for nervous beginners, with buoyancy aids, calmer sections of water and extra guidance from instructors. Strong swimming ability isn't always essential, but it depends on the specific activity. Let us know your comfort level in the water and we'll recommend the right option for you.

Age suitability varies by activity, with some watersports fine for older children accompanied by an adult and others better suited to teens and adults. Let us know the ages in your group when enquiring and we'll confirm which activities and departure dates are the best fit for everyone involved.

Card payments are handled by Nexi, one of Europe's largest regulated payment providers, over an encrypted connection and protected by 3-D Secure (the extra verification step from your own bank). Your card details are entered on Nexi's secure page and are never seen or stored on our website. Bank transfer is also available if you prefer — just ask us.

All our prices are shown and charged in euros (€), because that is the currency our European hotels and partners invoice us in. If your card is issued in pounds or another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate on the day, so the final figure on your statement may differ slightly from the euro price shown. Showing euros keeps the price honest — you pay exactly what the holiday costs, with no hidden mark-up from us.

It depends on the package and how close the departure date is. Many holidays can be secured with a deposit, with the balance due before travel, while some event tickets and last-minute bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. The exact terms for your holiday are confirmed in writing before you pay anything — if you are not sure, contact us and we will tell you before you commit.

Refunds are made back to the same card or account you paid with, and are governed by the cancellation terms of your specific booking, which we confirm to you in writing before payment. How quickly the money appears on your statement depends on your own bank. If you need to cancel or change a booking, contact us as early as possible — the earlier you tell us, the more options we usually have.
