From your base in Tarvisio in Northeastern Italy spend three days exploring some of the highlights of the beautiful Alpe Adria area by bike along cycle paths and roads. The full Alpe Adria trail starts in Austria and continues through Italy and Slovenia from the Alps to the Adriatic sea. ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Tarvisio, check-in at hotel.
Day 2:
Rent bikes after breakfast and departure to Austria by minibus transfer. Arrival in Kötschach-Mauthen after approx. 1 hour.
Cycle lane number R3 - Karnischer Radwanderweg through Dellach - Kirchbach - Tropolach - Hermagor - Presseger See - Latschach - Vorderberg - Nötsch, Thorl Magler - Coccau - Camporosso.
Distance approx. 80 km.
Day 3:
Departure by bicycle to Slovenia along the old Tarvisio-Ljubljana railway line: Ratece - Kranjska Gora - Jesenice - Moistrana - Bled.
Distance approx. 60 km.
Transfer with private minibus back to the hotel.
Day 4:
Breakfast and check out. Departure by bicycle south along the Alpe Adria Cycle Lane (Tarvisio - Ugovizza - Pontebba - Dogna - Chiusaforte - Resiutta), followed by lunch in a traditional trattoria in Resiutta (starter, main, dessert, coffee - drinks not included). Distance approx. 50 km. End of tour.

Alternatively if you don't want to cycle on your last day you can take the cable car to Monte Santo Lussari (ticket not included, return approx € 15 pp), visit the mountain hamlet and Sanctuary followed by lunch at a typical Gasthaus at the summit (see above). Return by cable car and departure
