Chamonix-Mont Blanc valley
Sitting at the foot of Mont Blanc, close to the border with both Switzerland and Italy, Chamonix is synonymous with winter sports, having hosted the first ever Winter Olympics in 1924.
It is however also a popular destination for active summer holidays with a wealth of activities to choose from, including hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, canyoning, via ferrata, rock climbing, paragliding and more. There are excursions for all levels, so you need not have previous experience to take part.
You will be staying just north of Chamonix in the pretty village of Argentière, a great base for your stay in the area - close to the action, but also peaceful enough to relax during your downtime.
Chamonix and its neighbours offer a variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. You will also find a cinema, casino, bowling alley, ice rink, a large sports centre, indoor climbing wall and numerous museums.
The QC Terme spa is also worth a visit during your stay with its panoramic heated pools and spa treatments, taking an afternoon to pamper yourself here will be one of the highlights of your trip.
Chamonix summer mountain adventure chalet holiday
Enjoy a thrilling week of adventure in the French Alps. Stay at the cosy Chalet Falcon (or similar) in Argentiere and choose from a list of activities to try. Each guest has 12 points to spend on any activity they like, so you can try some adrenaline-filled activities like paragliding and canyoning, or chill out and do some hiking and yoga. Bring comfortable, sturdy walking shoes, a waterproof jacket, a day pack and clothing suitable for cycling and hiking. Please make sure that your travel insurance covers all activities.
Most activities suitable for children aged 8 years and up. A good head for heights is required for activities like via ferrata, climbing and paragliding.

Chamonix-Mont Blanc valley
Located on the outskirts of Argentiere, a picturesque part of the Chamonix-Mont Blanc valley that combines a nice village feel with easy access to all amenities.
This cosy chalet has 5 double/twin rooms and 4 bathrooms with shower, 3 being en-suite.
There is a large open plan living/dining area with comfy sofas and TV. WiFi is available throughout the chalet.
Outside you will find a panoramic sun deck where you can enjoy the view of Mont Blanc from the hot tub.
Delicious home cooked chalet catering is provided by your friendly hosts, with local wine and soft drinks included. As with most chalets two evenings are not catered so you can go out and try one of the local restaurants.
Depending on availability, you may be accommodated at a different chalet of a similar standard.
Nearest Airport: Geneva (104km, approx. 1 hour 15 mins drive)
