This is a fun way to explore Verona and nearby Lake Garda on two wheels over a weekend. Great for a short break or as part of a longer stay in northern Italy. The package includes two guided group e-bike excursions, one to Bardolino on Lake Garda, the other around the beautiful countryside surrounding the city. No need to huff and puff up hills as your pedal assisted e-bike does all the hard work (well, most of it) so you can enjoy the fantastic views. ITINERARY
Day One:
Arrival and check in. You will have a briefing with your guide before dinner.
Day Two: Bardolino, Lake Garda - 60km
Head to the bike shop opposite the hotel at 9.00am to pick up your bikes and set off for Bardolino on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. You will head out of the city and follow a canal through the vineyards of Valpollicella. A quick espresso break and you will head up through the undulating hills that surround Lake Garda where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Lake and countryside before heading down to the shore and riding alongside the lake. Stop for lunch in Bardolino before heading back through olive groves and vineyards to Verona, end of tour 4.30pm.
Day Three: Verona and surrounding countryside – 30km
After checking out of the hotel (you can leave any luggage at the bike shop), you will set off at 10.00am following the river through the historic city centre out into the countryside. The route this time is reasonably flat and easy, taking you along secondary roads and cycle paths, past medieval castles, vineyards, olive groves and orchards. Stop for lunch at a small restaurant en route and head back to Verona for 3pm. End of tour.
