If you are interested in organising this please let us know before you book and we can arrange it for you.

The modern ski resort of Myrkdalen opened in 2003 and has been slowly expanding ever since, with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

At just 450–1060m above sea level this is nevertheless one of the most snow-sure resorts in one of the most snow-sure countries in Europe with an abundance of snow from November to May.

It offers around 30km of slopes and its wide, well-groomed slopes make it ideal for children, beginners and lower intermediates – great for building confidence.

Those looking for more of a challenge can enjoy the fun terrain parks and ski cross slopes, as well as the extensive off-piste thanks to the fantastic powder (to get the most out of it go ski touring to the top of the mountain where the lifts don’t reach).

For those wanting more slopes, the nearby resort of Voss is also included on your skipass and offers 40km of slopes for all levels. There is a paid ski bus from Myrkdalen to the Voss Gondola station, the journey is around 30 minutes.

Après-ski

As there is no town everything revolves around the hotel, though there is plenty on offer for adults and kids alike with regular festivals being held throughout the winter, and a weekly programme of activities for kids organized by the hotel.

There are plenty of non-ski activities available including dogsledding, tobogganing from the top of the chairlift, sleigh rides and a guided snow-shoeing excursion to an igloo.

The highlight however has to be a daytrip to the Sognefjord, where you can take a fjord cruise to the charming town of Flam and take a scenic train ride back to the start point. This is a great addition to your holiday. If you would like to add it on to your package just let us know before you book, otherwise it can be organized in resort.
