Presolana Ski Break in the Orobie Alps Including Hotel, Ski Pass, Ski Hire and Return Transfers

Castione della Presolana (870m) is located in the heart of the Orobie Alps, close to Bergamo, near Milan.

The ski resorts of Presolana 1250-1720m (situated on the Presolana pass) and Monte Pora 1460-1880m (9 km from the Presolana pass) are ideal for downhill skiing and snowboarding. Presolana offers easier, less technical slopes (4 blue, 5 red, 1 black) making it ideal for beginners and children while Monte Pora has a wider variety of sunny slopes for all different levels (7 blue, 11 red, 1 black) and a snowpark. The two separate areas cover a total of 35km of marked runs.

These ski areas are mostly frequented by locals from the Milan and Bergamo area at the weekends, so during the week the slopes are relatively empty with little to no queuing for lifts.

Après ski

Castione is a small, friendly village with a handful of restaurants, pizzerias bars and shops, this resort is ideal for families or those wanting a short flexible ski break.

Other activities include snow shoe excursions and the nighttime torch lit descent on skis followed by mulled wine.

Hotel Migliorati 3*

This friendly, family-run hotel is located in Castione, a 5-minute drive from the ski area, and a short walk from the town centre. The simply-furnished rooms each have a bathroom with bath or shower, and hairdryer. A buffet breakfast is served and dinner is available at an extra charge. There is a mini-market next door.
